| Open Letter to Membership from your President |
 |

Dear Chamber Members:
Last year our December newsletter dealt primarily
with a year-end report listing some of the Chamber's
accomplishments for the year. To not break with
tradition, you'll find below a listing of noteworthy
achievements and activities in 2007.
While we are pleased that we have made strides,
we are more excited about the possibilities that lay
ahead. Chairman Ken Warnock, the Chamber
Executive Committee and the Chamber's Board of
Directors are to be commended. Not only have they
provided guidance and leadership, but they have
provided the tools and funds necessary accomplish
the job.
I would like to personally thank the Chamber staff

them many of our accomplishments might have fallen

day.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
FROM THE STAFF
SWAINSBORO-EMANUEL COUNTY CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE
Customer services class to be offered on February
20th
The Chamber recently completed some forty small
business surveys. Information gained from the survey
report revealed that a large number of local
businesses desired a program centered
on "customer-service."
In attempting to address this need, Swainsboro
Technical College, Georgia Rural Economic
Development Center at East Georgia College, and the
Chamber will co-sponsor a one-day seminar to assist
local businesses in training their employees.
The program is being administered through
Georgia's Quick Start Program, nationally known for
their quality customer service initiatives. Similar
programs can cost over $100 per employee, but this
seminar will be free. The date has been tentatively set
for Wednesday, Feb. 20th.
To pre-register your employees, please call the
Chamber today.
