Sturgis Vineyards is a family owned & operated vineyard committed to providing fresh, high quality muscadine grapes to its customers individually & commercially. Sturgis Vineyard's founder was scientist, educator, & grape lover George B. Sturgis Sr. He planted the first vines in the late 1960's. He and his wife, Mary, operated the vineyards throughout most of their lives. Today the vineyard is owned & operated by George B. Sturgis Fr. and his wife, Sherry. The vineyard is located on the family farm and nestled around the family's ancestral Victorian farmhouse which dates back to the mid 1800's. Since the early 1970's, people have coming from near & far in search of "big, sweet & juicy" muscadines. The season runs the months of August and September until all grapes are sold. Local Artist Eileen Dudley

   Local Twin City, Ga. artist, Eileen Dudley, is described as a contemporary American Impressionist. She approaches portraiture with a warmth and interest that brings out the essence of her subjects. Her style is noted for its strong use of light and color as well as for its sense of design. Working from life or photographs, Ms. Dudley strives to capture the subject in physical appearance and in personality. And nothing pleases her more that painting portraits of children, the work she considers her speciality.
     Ms. Dudley limits her work to oils and graphite. In addition to portraits, Ms. Dudley accepts comissions for other works as well. Prices are determined at the time of comissioning.
