During the legislative session, the Emanuel County Farm Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce co-sponsor an "Eggs & Issues" Breakfast with our Georgia legislative delegation. The year's event was held on Saturday, January 19th, in the dining room of the Emanuel County Hospital with over 90 people in attendance. The year's legislative agenda was discussed, followed by a period for questions and answers. Representative Butch Parrish and Greg Morris where in attendance along with Senator Jack Hill and Senator J.B. Powell.

The Chamber hosts "Chamber Coffee Connections" at various times during the year to keep chamber members abreast of services, programs and events available to the membership. These morning get-togethers also serve as a great networking opportunity for members.

Stewart's Jewelers has recently been selected as the 2007-08 "Small Business of the Year" at the Chamber's Annual Banquet held Jan. 31, 2008. Mrs. Francis Stewart hold plaque while family members look on.

On September 2, 2008 the Swainsboro/Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce will initiate a leadership program entitled "2008 Leadership Emanuel."  This series of classes will be held on Tuesday nights, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. over 10 consecutive weeks.  The goal of the program in short, is to give Emanuel County a new level of leadership, a level that will sustain our community in the years to come.

Applications are available at the Chamber or you may access the link below.  Deadline for applications is July 24th and the class size is limited to 20-22 people.  The cost for the program is set at $60 to cover all materials.  Meals and refreshments will also be served at no additional cost.
