Nancy Auditorium Sign Dedication

A sign dedication was held at the building most famously known as the Nancy Auditorium in Swainsboro, Georgia.

On Monday, August 14th, 2023, a sign dedication was held at the building most famously known as the Nancy Auditorium in Swainsboro, Georgia. Michael Bright, owner of the Music Memories Museum, had a sign erected at what is now Emanuel Janitorial Services to mark the establishment's previous history operating as the Nancy Auditorium and WJAT. The sign lists many performers who were once heard live at the Nancy Auditorium and acknowledges the site as the stage where Hank Williams, Jr. made his first live performance at the age of eight.

Several attendees of the sign dedication shared of their memories of the auditorium, and the building was open for a look into the past as those in attendance were invited inside.

We were very excited to celebrate a piece of our town's rich history! And a special thank you to all who attended!
