We held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 for The Emanuel Arts Council in downtown Swainsboro. Ken Warnock, CEO of the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber, shared some background on the space and how it has progressed to what you see today. Mayor Charles Schwabe, Jacquie Brasher, Executive Director of the Emanuel Arts Council, and Kenny Griffin, President of the Emanuel Arts Council all shared a few words on the process of moving the Emanuel Arts Council into the new space and how everything has come full circle. Art by Neil Kalmanson was on display in the gallery and available for sale, and live music by Alan Brasher, Ron Ellison, and Mark Lilquist was performed upstairs after the ribbon was cut. There were light refreshments provided by The Cakery for all to enjoy.
Congratulations on the new location, Emanuel Arts Council! And a special thank you to all who attended!
