On Saturday, January 29th, 2022, Eggs & Issues was held at Emanuel Medical Center and featured a breakfast and legislative review from Representative Butch Parrish and Senator Billy Hickman. The event was sponsored by Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce, Emanuel County Farm Bureau, and Emanuel Medical Center. Ken Warnock, CEO of the Chamber, gave a welcome followed by an invocation from Robert Fountain, County President of Emanuel County Farm Bureau. Representative Butch Parrish spoke about several topics including redistricting and the budget. Senator Billy Hickman followed with the mention of various issues including the Rural Hospital Tax Credit, broadband access, redistricting and the importance of the Census, and the Right to Farm Bill. The review was followed by a short Q & A session.
