On Saturday, January 28th, 2023, Eggs & Issues was held at Emanuel Medical Center and featured a breakfast and legislative review from Representative Butch Parrish and Senator Max Burns. The event was sponsored by Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce, Emanuel County Farm Bureau, and Emanuel Medical Center. Ken Warnock, CEO of the Chamber, gave a welcome followed by an invocation from Robert Fountain, County President of Emanuel County Farm Bureau. Senator Max Burns spoke about several topics including fundamental literacy and a focus on educational opportunities from birth through career. Representative Butch Parrish followed with the mention of various issues including health coverage, trauma centers and telehealth, and the Georgia HEART Program. The review was followed by a short Q & A session.
